Having attended our Black Dog gig The Poly management kindly stepped in and allowed us the use of the historic building as an evening venue for the night, despite our headline drummer having to bail at the last minute and our sound being double booked, a new audio rig was sorted along with lights, a smoke machine and the show went on!
Monster! Monster! ramped up his set for the night to make up for the unexpected loss of Mat Harding. (He'll be making it up to us by lending his drumming expertise to the next event) dropping tracks like crowd favourite Dr P's "Tetris", Nostalgia's "The Hero" and a few of his own classics from his Penny Arcade EP - available from all on-line retailers ;)
Returning support acts from last time included "Mighty Buush" and The Black Dog who returned to straddle the decks and served up fresh slices of vinyl to kick the night off.
Our Gaming partners EA and Ubisoft had areas dedicated to their latest titles with Crysis 2 being projected in one booth and Child of Eden on the Kinect Headlining our Ubisoft's area after some make shift projector mounting to walls had taken place with bungee ties.
Kinect drew big crowds although the skills peaked around 11pm as one too many Yoshie Island Ice Tea's took their toll.
In the the centre of the room we had a mini history of gaming on display showing off various gaming pieces like the old school NES complete with R.O.B as well as classics like Nights on the Saturn and newer titles like the Codex edition of Assassins Creed.
A massive thank-you to everyone that came down and the Poly for allowing us to take over for the night!
We've already got plans under way for for Late Bit 3, with another venue, a couple of added extras and some new friends coming on board!
